Library Procedures
Library Cards
The Pentwater Township Library offers three types of patron accounts:
Permanent Resident
Pentwater Township residents are invited to come into the library and open a free account. Weare Township residents are within our contracted service area and can open a free account.
Oceana/Mason County Residents
Residents of Oceana and Mason Counties that are a member of the Hart Area Public Library, Shelby Area District Library, or Walkerville Public School Library, are eligible for a Pentwater Township Library account by participating in reciprocal borrowing privileges and open a free account. This account allows you to borrow up to 25 items (books, DVDs, CDs, and Go-Bags) at a time. Please note that access to digital materials (Libby, Hoopla, Kanopy), MeLCat, and some specialized resources is reserved for Pentwater Township Library service areas.
Annual Account
Visitors to Pentwater may open an account at the cost of $50. This allows you to check out items for one (1) year from activation of account.
